Add your own workouts and events as an athlete
Log an extra session, a different workout from the plan, a note or a race on your calendar, and see what your coach sees when you do.
Your calendar isn't only for what your coach plans. You can add your own workouts and events too: a session you did instead of the planned one, an extra workout, a rest day, a note, or a race you've entered. Your coach sees what you add and can tell it apart from their own planning.
Add a workout or an event
On the web:
- In your calendar, click + on the day.
- Pick the type with the icon next to the title (a sport, or the trophy for an event) and fill in the details.
- Click Add.
In the mobile app, tap + under a day in the calendar, or the + button, and choose a sport or an event.
What your coach sees
- Workouts and events you add show a small blue dot on the block in your coach's calendar, so your coach can tell them apart from their own planning. Activities synced from your watch or app don't get the dot.
- Your coach gets a notification when you add a workout or an event, unless they've turned that notification off.
- Your coach can open, edit or delete what you add, like any other workout.
Good to know
- Don't add synced activities by hand. If your watch or app is connected, completed activities appear on your calendar automatically. If one shows up next to the planned workout instead of merged with it, use Merge in the block's menu on the web.
- Device not connected? Upload the activity file with Import FIT file, the upload icon at the top right of your calendar on the web.
- Private notes: when you add a note, switch off Visible to the Trainer to keep it to yourself. Your coach isn't notified about private notes.
- Strength workouts: creating your own strength workouts requires the Premium plan for athletes.
- You can edit or delete the workouts and events you added at any time.
