Save and reuse workouts in your library

Keep the workouts you repeat, and your own images, videos and documents, in your library, and add them to your calendar in a couple of clicks.

Your library is where you keep the workouts you do often, so you can put them on your calendar again without writing them from scratch. You can also keep your own images, videos and documents there and attach them to your workouts. The library is included in Premium.

Open your library

On the web, click Library in the top menu. It has two tabs: Workouts and Files.

Your library is private. Your coach doesn't see it, and your coach's library doesn't appear in yours. It also includes a TrainerPlan - Workouts folder with ready-made workouts that you can use but not change.

In the mobile app, you reach your library when you add a workout, from the Library tab.

Workouts in the library

Save a workout to your library

On the web:

  1. Go to Library > Workouts and click Add workout.
  2. Fill in the workout as you would in your calendar: sport, title, steps and description.
  3. Save it. The workout is added to the folder you're in.

In the mobile app, switch on Save as template when you add a workout. The workout goes on your calendar and a copy is saved to your library.

Organise your workouts

  • Click Create folder to group your workouts, for example by sport or training block.
  • Tick workouts and click Move to put them in another folder.
  • The Options menu lets you Move, Rename, Delete or Duplicate what you've selected.
  • Use Search to find a workout by name, and Filter By to show one sport.

Add a library workout to your calendar

On the web:

  1. Open your calendar and click the + icon at the top right of the calendar. The library opens in a side panel.
  2. Drag a workout onto the day you want.

In the mobile app:

  1. In the Calendar tab, tap + under the day.
  2. Tap the Library tab and open a folder.
  3. Tap a workout, check the details and tap Add to calendar.

The workout is copied to your calendar, so you can change it there without changing the one in your library.

Keep your images, videos and documents

In Library > Files you can upload your own files and organise them in folders. You'll also find ready-made exercise images and videos from TrainerPlan there.

  • To upload, click Add Files, enter a Title, choose the file with Upload and click Add.
  • To attach a file to a workout, open the workout and use Add from library in the Attachment section.

For all the ways to attach files, see Add images, videos and files to workouts. It's written for coaches, but the steps are the same for you.

On a Basic account

  • Library doesn't appear in the menu on the web.
  • In a workout, Add from library is greyed out, with an Upgrade Plan link next to it. You can still attach files with Upload or Add URL.
  • In the mobile app, the Library tab and the Save as template switch show a Premium badge and can't be used.

To upgrade, go to My Profile > Plans on the web, or Settings > Plans in the mobile app.

Good to know

  • On the web, the Save as template option in the calendar is for coaches. To save a workout to your library on the web, add it from Library > Workouts.
  • Files can be up to 50 MB: JPG, GIF, PNG, PDF, DOC, DOCX, TXT, MP4, ZWO or ZIP.
  • Workouts in the TrainerPlan - Workouts folder are read-only. Add one to your calendar and change the copy.
  • Coaches: see The session library.
