AI workout summary
Get a short AI analysis of each completed workout, with a training tip, on the web and in the mobile app.
The AI workout summary turns a completed workout into a few plain sentences: how the session went, how it compares with your recent similar workouts, how your time was spread across your zones, and a training tip. It saves you reading every chart to know how a session went. It is included in Premium.
Which workouts get a summary
A summary needs real data from a device. It is available for completed workouts synced from Garmin, Strava, COROS, Suunto, Polar, Apple Watch, Wahoo, Hammerhead or Zwift, and for TrainerPlan Virtual rides. On the web, a workout you uploaded as a FIT file also gets one. A workout you only marked as done, with no device data, has no summary. See Connect your device and sync your workouts.
What it looks at
- The workout itself: sport, distance, duration, effort and, if it was planned, the planned steps.
- Your time in heart rate, power and pace zones, when the workout has that data.
- Your laps, to describe your pacing (for example a negative split).
- Your similar workouts of the last 3 weeks, to say whether this one was faster, slower, longer or shorter.
- Your Fitness, Fatigue and Form, which the training tip at the end is based on.
On the web
- Open a completed workout from your Calendar.
- The summary appears at the top of the workout, under AI Summary. The first time you open a workout it takes a few seconds to write.
- Select × to close it.
In the mobile app
- Open a completed workout that was synced from your device.
- The AI Training Analysis card at the top of the workout fills in by itself.
- Select Read more to see the whole summary.
If you have Basic
You still see where the summary would be. On the web, the top of the workout shows Get AI-powered workout insights with an Upgrade to Premium button. In the mobile app, the AI Training Analysis card has an Upgrade now button. Both take you to your plans. See Upgrade to Premium, manage or cancel your plan.
Good to know
- A summary is written once per workout and saved, so opening the workout again shows the same text straight away. If the workout or your recent similar workouts change, a new summary is written.
- Summaries do not use your monthly AI credits.
- Your coach can see the AI summary of your workouts from their own account if their plan includes AI. It is the same saved summary.
- The summary is a guide written by AI from your data. If something doesn't match how the session felt, trust yourself and your coach.
- For the charts, laps and zones behind the summary, see Full analysis of your workouts.
