Add notes to athletes and groups (private or visible to the athlete)

Write notes on an athlete's profile or calendar, for a whole group or in your library, and choose whether the athlete can see each one.

Use notes to keep track of anything about an athlete's training: an injury, a reminder before a race, what you agreed on a call. Each note is either visible to the athlete or private, so you can also use notes as comments the athlete doesn't see. Athletes can write notes too.

On the athlete's profile

  1. Open the athlete, go to the Profile tab and click Notes in the menu on the left.
  2. Click Add note.
  3. Write a Title and a Description. You can attach files. If you pick a date, the note also shows on that day of the athlete's calendar.
  4. Leave Visible to the Athlete on to share the note, or switch it off to keep it private. Then click Add.

The Notes page lists all of the athlete's notes, including the ones added from the calendar. You can search them and sort them by title, date, visibility, author or creation date.

On the athlete's calendar

  1. In the athlete's Calendar, click + on the day.
  2. In Add new, click the activity icon next to the title and choose Note.
  3. Write the note, set Visible to the Athlete and click Add.

It works like adding a workout (see Add Workouts to Your Clients). You can add notes to the days of static and dynamic plans the same way.

For a whole group

  1. Go to Groups, open the group and its Calendar.
  2. In the top row, click + next to the day name. This button adds items for everyone in the group.
  3. Choose Note as the activity, set Visible to the Athlete and click Add.

Each athlete in the group gets their own copy of the note. Athletes who join the group later don't receive it.

In your library, to reuse it

If you often write the same note, such as a race-week checklist, save it in the Library: add a new workout there and choose Note as the activity. You can then add it to any athlete's calendar, or to a plan, like any other library workout. When you add it to a calendar, it keeps the visibility you set in the library.

Notes from athletes

Athletes add notes the same way: with + on a day of their calendar, or from My Profile > Notes. Their switch is called Visible to the Trainer. If they turn it off, you don't see the note.

Good to know

  • Private notes don't send notifications.
  • Athletes can only edit or delete the notes they wrote.
  • In the mobile app, add a workout, choose Note as the activity and use the Visible to the athlete switch below the description.
