TrainerPlan mobile app for iPhone and Android
Download the TrainerPlan app from the App Store or Google Play. Coaches and athletes use the same app with their usual account. See what each can do in it.
TrainerPlan has a mobile app for iPhone and Android. Coaches and athletes use the same app: log in with your usual TrainerPlan email and password, and the app shows the screens for your type of account. It uses the same account and data as the web, so what you do on your phone also shows up on the web.
Download the app
- iPhone: TrainerPlan on the App Store
- Android: TrainerPlan on Google Play
You can also search for TrainerPlan in either store. No account yet? Tap Sign Up on the login screen and choose Trainer or Athlete.
What athletes can do in the app
- Dashboard: planned against completed training for this week and last week, today's workout and your upcoming events.
- Calendar: the workouts your coach plans for you. Tap + to add your own running, cycling or strength workout or an event, or to Generate with AI.
- Analysis: charts of your training. Tap + to add a graph.
- Chats: message your coach in real time.
- The profile icon opens your Profile, Zones, My Coach, Connections for your watch and apps, Settings and Support.
Tap a workout to open it. Mark it as done under Actual Workout, fill in what you did and how you felt, and leave a note for your coach in the Comments tab. Strength sessions have a Start Training button that guides you through each exercise: see Follow Guided Strength Workouts in the Mobile App. The bell at the top shows your notifications, and if your coach has set up their branding, you see their logo and colour at the top of the app.
What coaches can do in the app

- Tap + on the list to invite an athlete with a link or by email.
- Tap an athlete to see their Dashboard, Calendar, Analysis and Messages.
- On the athlete's Calendar, tap + to add a running, cycling or strength workout, choose More for other workout types and events, or use Generate with AI.

- Notifications: all your notifications in one list.
Good to know
- Push notifications: the Enable Push Notifications switch on the profile screen shows whether they're on. To turn them on or off, go to your phone's Settings > TrainerPlan > Notifications.
- Apple Watch only appears in Connections in the iPhone app.
- The Performance chart (Fitness, Fatigue and Form) on the athlete dashboard is part of Athlete Premium, and Generate with AI depends on your plan.
- For everything about messaging on the web and in the app, see Chat in TrainerPlan.
