Build your own strength workouts
Create gym sessions with blocks, exercises from the exercise library and sets with reps, weight, RPE or RIR, on the web or in the mobile app.
With the strength editor you can build your own gym sessions: exercises from the exercise library, grouped in blocks, each with its sets and targets. You then follow the session set by set in the mobile app. Building your own strength workouts is included in Premium.
Build a strength workout on the web
- In your calendar, click + on the day.
- Click the icon next to the title and choose Strength (New). The strength editor opens.
- Enter a title.
- Click Add Block, then Add Exercise, and pick an exercise. You can search by name or browse by muscle group. If an exercise isn't in the list, use Create Custom Exercise.
- Set up the exercise's sets. Use Add Parameter to choose what each set measures (see the list below), and Add Note for instructions.
- Add more exercises and blocks the same way, then click Add.

Build a strength workout in the mobile app
- In the Calendar tab, tap the + button and choose Strength.
- Enter a title and check the date.
- Tap Add Block, then Add Exercise, and choose an exercise.
- Fill in the sets for each exercise.
- Tap Save.
What each set can measure
Each exercise can track up to three of these:
| Parameter | What it is |
|---|---|
| Reps | Repetitions per set |
| Weight | The load to lift |
| Weight % | The load as a percentage, from 0 to 100 |
| RPE | How hard the set should feel, from 1 to 10 |
| RIR | Reps in reserve: how many more reps you could have done, from 0 to 10 |
| Distance, Duration, Height | For carries, holds, jumps and similar exercises |
Do the workout
Open the workout in the mobile app and tap Start Training to follow it set by set, then Complete Training when you finish. See Guided strength workouts in the mobile app.
On a Basic account
You can open the strength editor, but when you save, a Go Premium window opens and the workout isn't saved. To upgrade, go to My Profile > Plans on the web, or Settings > Plans in the mobile app.
Strength workouts your coach plans for you are not affected: you can open them and complete them on any account.
